Half a dozen short poems act as ‘milestones’ along the way in my new book. This is the second:
Shimmering Horizons (Bennison Books, 2021) has the theme of the journey, the quest, the odyssey. There are poems about legendary travellers from many parts of the world and others musing on key stages of life.
These ‘milestones’ separate the seven Parts of the book. I’m posting them one a week.
If you are curious, there is a selection of the poems on my website at https://johnlooker.wordpress.com/extracts-from-shimmering-horizons/
John, I just put a short review on a website, but now I can’t find the url. This is, since you already know my opinion, a wonderful book of poetry.

Many thanks Tom! I wonder what that site was? Somewhere out there in internet land there’s kind review of Shimmering Horizons – and someone will come across it and think, hmm … must read that! 😀

John, I finally just posted a short review on Amazon for your book. Don’t know if it’ll show up on UK’s Amazon site…. The name I go by there is “Beth”, should you come across it. 🙂

I’ve found it – and I am immensely grateful to you Betty for your warm words and strong recommendation! Yes it appears on the UK site as well as yours. I was particularly interested, and very pleased, at your appreciation of the Odyssea poems which close the book and which meant a lot to me. So, a big thank you! 💐
