Snowdrops are breaking cover again

It’s time for me to post my annual snowdrops haiku:

Here in England we have found that the snowdrops are at their peak right now.

  1. hard subject to write uniquely John but you did – I like the ‘filing their report’ – has overtones of a military parade and I can see this in their assembles

  3. I like this snowdrops tradition John! Maybe it’s the secret to getting a summer – which where I live in Taranaki we haven’t had at all this year!
    You lucky thing –
    You’re into Spring!

  5. Hi John,

Hope you and your wife are doing well. I’ve been laid up the last six weeks or so as I took a fall and sprained my ankle. But it is finally doing better so I am walking more and able to drive some days. We had a mild Winter and should have an early Spring but recently, Winter has decided to make a last stand…not too bad. But I am looking forward to Spring and warmer weather. I have been following you when I can but am only just now getting back into my computer. Do take care.

    • Hi Renée, it’s good to hear from you and you have prompted me to visit your own blog again. Take care with that ankle – two of my friends hurt their ankles badly recently, one a break one a sprain, and I saw how painful it can be, and how disabling. My wife and I are getting along okay thanks, and taking a lot of pleasure in our grandchildren which I know you will understand. Best wishes. J
